Google Business Photos Gets Re-branded
In 2012 Google unveiled Google Business Photos (GBP) across selected countries around the world. Basically GBP was Google’s famous StreetView but would now be offered inside businesses. A outstanding idea but very labor intensive. This gave birth to the Google Trusted Photographer. These photographers were trained in the techniques of panosphere photography and a proprietary software package that allowed Street View style tours of the interior of the business. Google has not done much in the way of marketing this product and left the marketing up to their Google Trusted Photographers. Nevertheless the program has now been re-branded to Google Maps Business View. Same great service and product with a name that might seem more appropriate.
